incompetancy at it's best

At first, I had absolutely no problem here. Then they changed managers about a year or so ago and it's been a complete NIGHTMARE. The current management at this apartment complex is the worst I've encountered by far. Not only do they have an assinine late policy (a late fee is applied if rent is paid on or after the 3rd- for all you out there on SSI) but they also neglect to check their drop-box, and a couple of my checks have magically disappeared in that black hole, so I incur stop-payment fees from my bank, then I'm out the cost for a money order and an ATM fee. The apartments are poorly maintained, I've lived there for 3 years and I gave up on counting on them to replace my filters long ago. When a few tiles fell from my bathroom wall the "repair" job looked like it was done by a 3 year old and I have dried caulk all over the faucet and bathtub. The "gated community" is a joke, as the gates are often broken and or they simply forget to close them at night. Also beware- the windows don't open so if you want to let in fresh air on a nice day you have to have your french doors wide open, so you can also forget about sleeping with opened windows. As mentioned a few times there are water problems, I can always count on my water being shut off for "repairs" at least once a month. One time it was off for 4 days without a notice or compensation off our rent. Look elsewhere.

As I'm posting this, the water has been shut off. No shower for me. Looks like my only option is to take a "bird bath" in my kitchen sink. Lucky me

This is occurring everywhere. There's no escape from the blithering incompetence that strangles the population of this weird region, but knowing what you know, your first mistake is in making the most important payment of the month to a drop box instead of demanding a receipt from the dolts in charge of it. Don't hesitate to write the company. You might be surprised by the weight it can carry from an articulate tenant with a legitimate gripe.
