Horrific Management

When I first moved in to the Mansions they were new and very nice. There were all kinds of amenities and the management was great to work with. Once management changed, the place went to hades. Amenities began to be dropped, door steps were crumbling, paint peeling. Outdoor shrubs were allowed to die, then yanked out leaving gaping muddy holes that were never replaced. Forget getting maintenance to fix anything. I had a piece of cabinet paneling falling off. They fixed it but TAPING it back in place. Althought it was reported, I spent the entire 4 years there without ever receiving fireplace doors. In the 4 years I lived there the security gates probably worked a total of 2 months.
Parking' Forget it. Some apartments had multiple familes with many cars. If you weren't home by 3:00 or 4:00 there were no parking spaces. Many times I had to park several buildings away. We had drug busts AND shootings in our building alone in the time I was there. Management will NOT tell you about this.
They are constantly looking for ways to scam extra money from you. They claimed they had no record of a substantial pet deposit I gave them and were constantly trying to get me to pay it AGAIN. When I moved, I spent an entire 8-hour day cleaning. No one was available to do a walk-through with me. Bad news. A month later they were having a collection agency call me with move out fees. The entire move out document was pure fiction - claiming keys were not turned in (They were), bathrooms and kitchens dirty (they were spotless when I left). Sadly, without the walk through I was forced to pay more extortion money. I heartily concur with other posters here - make sure moving in AND out you go through everything with them. If not, it will cost you. They also claimed I gave no reason for moving out. The manager could not have been more dismissive when I personally handed her my 30-day notice. The staff is snotty, unresponsive, and rude. (My apologies to the one poor woman who works there who was nice - I know she has/had a rough job).
I would never recommend this complex. Exhorbitant prices for the worst kind of management.
