I've lived here since the day before the ice storm in December of 2007. I really liked it then, my apartment was pretty big, and I'm lucky enough to have one of the ones with a washer and dryer. I really liked the previous managers, until they left. The new ones were ok at first, but that didn't last long!!


I have a major problem with the bathroom shower in the master bath to where the hot water wouldn't turn off, and I got burned, several times. And even one time the whole handle knob of the hot water broke off as I was trying to get the water to shut off like the maintenance man showed me to do '"when" it wouldn't shut off again', that was 5 months ago!!! It's still not fixed!!!!!!!!!!!! And the "paint" stuff in that shower is peeling everywhere. Like the previous post, I asked repeatedly, considering I'm in the same building that the managers (when there are some) live in, only to hear it'll be tomorrow, it'll be tomorrow...tomorrow..we ordered in the part and waiting for it to come in...it'll be tomorrow....we just got the approval to order the parts..it'll be tomorrow...it'll be done by the end of the week...the parts will be here in two weeks...we just got the parts in and we'll put them in tomorrow..I'll have it finished by next week.... almost 6 months of tomorrow's have come and gone, and NADA.


The windows are very drafty.


There were lots of "clean" people living here before, but now it's all broken down cars EVERYWHERE, and trash laying all over the place. It's horrible!!!! I even had one of my friends come over this past Thanksgiving holiday and they said they were scared to be there, afraid they'd be mugged.


There are numerous eviction notices posted on many doors, heck even the most recent managers were evicted.


Plus, I'm 90% percent sure I saw a drug deal take place 20 feet from my front door.


Around August there were gunshots fired at the other end of the complex, and when I asked the managers about it, they laughed about it, and said it was some drunk guy firing shots into the air!!!! And they thought it was funny!!! I have been furious about that ever since.


The master bathroom and bedroom are "connected", at least in mine they are, it's hard to describe, but as you walk through the door, you're looking at the vanity and mirror, and look to the left you're in the bedroom, look the right and you see the closet, and door to the "actual" bathroom. There's no divider whatsoever for the bedroom vanity. Think motel room and that's a pretty good description.


I'm not even going to touch the subject of noise because I don't have enough hours to write about it, and I have lost count as to how many times I, and my kids, have been woken up by car stereos booming as loud as they can at all hours of the day and night. People driving too fast through the very small parking lot, I'm beyond terrified that one of the children, that are always out playing, are going to get hit and killed or seriously injured. I refuse to let my kids go outside to play. I'll take them someplace else before I let them out the front door alone.


Even though there's supposed to be no smoking in the apartments, both sets of managers smoked, heavily, in the bathrooms!! So much that when the bathroom steams up (in my apartment), the nicotine runs/streaks down the walls, so you have this yucky brown-yellowish streaks down the walls. That you have you wipe off quickly, or it just dries to darker streaks!!


The only plus besides the "roomy" is I haven't had a bug problem, and have not seen any, other than the occasional ant or spider, since I've lived here. However, I still don't and would never recommend living here, ever.
