I lived on the 3rd floor apartment and noise was just as bad as the 2nd and 1st floor. The insulation is terrible and you can hear people going up and down the stairs, yelling at all hours of the night, and parking was a nightmare. These are more for college kids who don't have a day job and can play.
I had numerous problems with my washer (loud noise) and after three times and another washer I didn't bother calling maintenance anymore b/c it was more of a hassle to have them actually fix things correctly. I have since moved and do not plan on moving anytime soon. You might as well buy a house with the prices they offer after your lease is up.

I moved into a 3rd floor apartment a few months ago and completely disagree with these complaints. I rarely hear anything outside and have never heard anyone going up and down stairs. The washer could stand to be a little quieter, but there is nothing wrong with it. It's just an average washer and those things make noise. The staff has been friendly and accomadating and fixed the few minor things I requested within 24 hours. I have also met several other young professionals living here. It's a nice place to live.
