I have been here a little over a month now and no complaints yet. I will say if you plan on coming and checking this place out, ask for Katie in the office, she's great! I will only deal with her.
At the time that we signed our lease, they had some great discounts going, so I can't complain about rent cost. I don't know what will happen when our lease is up (some residents complain about rent increasing), but I guess we'll see. I don't think I would stay if it was increased.
Maintenance so far has been great. They fix whatever I need fixed, sometimes even the same day I put in the work order!
My balcony is facing 81st street (which I will say I'm really glad I chose this side, it's quiet) and I am on the second floor. I don't hear too much noise from the neighbors, the only thing I hear is water running sometimes (sounds like washer) which kind of surprised me. So that's the only thing I can say I'm not too crazy about..but it's not enough to complain. It's like any other apartment complex, if it's not the water noise, it will be something else.
I haven't had trouble with parking or finding a spot, only when I get home late (after 11pm) sometimes it's hard to find one close by.
Extra things I like about this complex: the movie theater, free movie rentals, free Saturday breakfast, nice pool, computer/internet access in the lobby as well as printer/copier/fax, gym, billiard room (which is getting renovated soon) and I like the fact that all of their apartments include either a computer desk area or a small office computer room (which I have). It was kind of hard to find a complex and one bedroom apartment plan which would be able to also fit a computer desk.
We have friends that have lived here for years who say Remington's customer service and office staff has worsened over the years. I haven't had problems yet, everyone is really friendly and helpful. That's why I said talk to Katie, she's probably been there the longest. :) Good luck!
