Unfortunatly, I'm not happy at the Remington. I live there now and would love to be able to get out of my lease. It's not just one thing that has made me feel this way. There are numerous things. First, the staff is not friendly. I went in to the office to give them my rent and not even get a Thank you. Now I use the drop box only. I have also gone in to speak to them about a maintenance request, and the girl was too busy laughing on her cell phone to acknowledge me and told me it would be a minute, and continued to talk on her cell phone. Very unprofessional. As well as there is a different face in there all the time. But that is just the beginning. They decided they were going to put in speed bumps, but they were not speed bumps, they were curbs! You could hear the cars hit bottom from outside my apartment everytime they went over them. When I called to complain, they said they have had 150 complaints and they are working to fix it. 150''' HELLO!!!! Why would that have happened to begin with' Someone didn't know what they were doing when they said , Yes, we want 4 1/2 inch speed bumps!
But that's not all. We get notes on our doors that say, "If you have more than 3 bags of trash, we will go through your trash to find out who they belong to and will fine you $15.00 for violating your lease agreement! WHAT! they would actually go through our trash! That's crazy! Then we get ANOTHER note that says they are going to be working on the parking lots and for us to be courteous to the workers and move our cars if needed. Be COURTEOUS TO THE WORKERS! I couldn't believe it when I read that. Unbelievable. But then We have ANOTHER note yesterday that says, some of the residents are feeding stray cats and dogs and that is violating our lease agreement. Well, I'm sick of their lease agreement! If that is all they have to do is write unprofessional letters to their residents, then that speaks very highly of them. They have VERY unprofessional people that work there and has no idea how to write letters to the people that pay them! They should be spoiling their residents with kindness to try to get them to stay. Instead they have done nothing but upset the people that live around me and run us off. So no, I have absolutely nothing good to say about them. They look nice on the outside, but they are very cheaply made on the inside. As soon as my lease is up, I will be where there are good ratings, and I'm not one to complain, but this has been ridiculous. Definilty look at the ratings before you sign a lease.

Ok!?? I live there now and I have not had one problem there. I have been there for almost three months but have not had one problem with the Staff or with any notes left on my door. I have not received they notes about the trash or the stray cats. I do understand about the speed bumps but they did get those fixed within a few weeks. I am sorry but I don't agree with your post but you are intitled with your opinion.

I live there now to. And yes I have received the notes this person is talking about. The way these notes are worded are very frustrating. I too had called and complained about the speed bumps. Something like that should have never been an issue to begin with. They were definilty built way to high. And to me, a few weeks is way to long to fix them! My biggest complaint is the parking. To come home after dark in front of my building, well you will have to walk a long distance. Every resident has their own opinion, some are happy and some are not. But to look at Remington's ratings, their not very good. And if you were to read the other complaints, they all say basically the same thing in different ways.

Keep in mind as you read these reviews that most of the people that come on here are here to complain. Every apartment complex has their negatives, you can never make EVERYONE happy! I have lived here about 7 months now and generally happy here. Everyone who has come over to visit us so far complement us on how NICE our little place is! Yes, the new speed bumps are a pain, but keep in mind that it was by the request of the residents that they have been put there. I can't imagine who would want them, but that's a fact. I have also received all of those notes at my door, but again, it is to keep the property neat, clean and nicely looking for the RESIDENTS! They have repainted the whole complex this summer, the club house, are fixing up the parking lot, and renovating the pool area for next summer..which I sure appreciate! Why hasn't anyone mentioned these things! The note about the trash..that was clearly stated in your lease agreement! If you do not agree then you should not have signed it! I, for one, don't appreciate the trash being left out next to my door for 3 days..it starts to smell after a while, if you know what I mean! They are simply trying to keep this place up for us to have a nice place to come home to..what is wrong with that?? Yes, there are things I am not thrilled with around here, but I also understand that this is an APARTMENT not a house. I think they can improve on some things, but overall this is a very nice place to live! I am happy here! |

There's very few things wrong with the Remington. I've been there 7 months now and all I really have to complain about is the neighbor who gags on his toothpaste every morning at 6 am. What does Anonymous expect? This is an apartment complex, not a resort. No apartment complex is going to be perfect. If you want a perfect place that doesn't have letters, speed bumps, or rude staff, then buy a house!
