I've lived here for two months now and couldn't be happier. My last apartment was cheap: both with rent and the construction & maintenance (it was in a shady side of town and I didn't even have a deadbolt!). Now I've got 24/7 gated access, a nice gym area, my own private balcony (which is enormous btw), a full kitchen with a pantry, fullsize W/D already in the apartment, big windows overlooking a nicely-landscaped section of the complex. There's also a large theater room with a projector and theater-seating that you can reserve any time you want! I could go on and on.

Yes these apartments are a bit more expensive compared to other places but you get so much more in return that for me it was worth it. I don't have to worry about someone breaking in or people messing with my truck.

I do have to say I'm not fond of the carpet they use. My cat has never destroyed carpets before in any previous apartment but she loves to rip this stuff up when she gets bored. And it comes up quite easily; even just walking over it in heels seems to cause little snags. I'm sure they're going to nail me on move-out for that but I'm not sure what else to do. This is the only negative.

Overall it's an excellent complex - close to the hustle and bustle of 71st street but far enough away that it's actually quiet. The buildings are beautiful, the grounds are well-landscaped. The staff is a bit stuck-up but they will resolve whatever issues you're having. (Chad is the one who rented to me and my roommate. I was in my business dres from work and she had on jeans. He spoke mostly to me, assuming I was the "breadwinner".) Maintenance knows what they're doing but it may take them a few days if your issue isn't a huge priority (laundry door took two or three days to replace).

Come give them a try - you might just find what you're looking for!
