I lived in River Park for 7 months. Let me outline the details.
1. They said I could move in at 8am on my move-in day. They were not ready for me until noon because the cleaner was still there.
2. I started moving in and noticed the fridge was black and green inside and smelled awful. So they brought me another one, just as bad as the first. As the maintenance guys moved the refrigerators, both of the refrigerators leaked brown liquid all over my carpet. Finally, I got a brand-new fridge (3 hours later) and some brand-new stains all over the floor. They assured me that someone would come clean them. I steam cleaned them MYSELF later that day.
3. At least once a week random non-tennants would knock on my door and ask for cigarettes, money, beer, rides, even drugs. I lived by myself and I am female. This is absolutely not acceptable! I was scared every night I stayed there.
4. Some other not-as-important details: my neighbors were noisy, the carpet in the living room was completely unfinished (it didn't connect to the floor near the walls), and I had roaches.
5. One day AFTER moving out: the property manager calls me and says that I have a debt to pay for cleaning charges. My apartment was cleaner when I moved out than it was when I moved in. The place was just an absolute horror anyways, I couldn't believe they thought they could charge me for cleaning it. I went to the office and reviewed the charges. I talked them out of $20 for cleaning my refrigerator. Remember, it was brand new! So I paid the rest of the debt and let them know they would never, ever see me as a renter again.
6. It's not over yet. Two weeks after moving out: I get a letter from a collections agency claiming that I owed them money via River Park. I paid them the debt, it should have been over. I am in the process of trying to get ahold of the property manager. She doesn't seem to be in her office too often.
