Move on or Move out

From: G-Funk

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005

We initial had problems when we first applied for an apartment.

The one they had told us they would reserve for us was also reserved for another resident who brought their application and fee back before we'd done so.

However, it wasn't until the day we went to move in that we were informed of this.

We were shuffled around for a bit and finally chose a new apartment.

However, since we'd already set up electric, phone, etc accounts for the first apartment we had to re-contact them and re-do them.

Thanks to that I had a problem with my phone company not getting the correct address.

As for the actual apartment.

It was clean and orderly upon move in.

However, when maintenance was required we might as well have done it ourselves.

Roaches became a problem and we had a mouse or two until our dog took care of them.

We had a maniac for a neighbor who felt screaming at the top of his lungs was a good way to communicate with his girlfriend and even better for calling his cat, Mr.

Man, home.

If you love Mariachi music this is the place to live.

It was played frequently and loudly during all hours.

Police were frequently called to the complex for various reasons.

On Thanksgiving they came looking for a wanted murder suspect at the apartment around the corner from where I was.

Going outside was not much of an option, even less so at night.

I mean no offense racially but the Hispanic population seemed disrespectful of those not of thier race.

My fiance found a man and his son using her car as a jungle gym.

Due to this condition our dog tore our apartment to shreds because we did not feel safe leaving our apartment.

A neighbor we befriended in the last month of our lease had her van's battery stolen.

Fortunately we were not burglarized in the 6 months we lived here (that we know of).

We witnessed no violence.

However two mysterious gentlemen knocked on our door one night when I was not home.

We lived in an upstairs apartment so my fiance went to the balcony to see who was at the door and when confronted the two men ran off.

Due to the location of our apartment parking was a waste of time.

The only good time to get a spot was when everyone was working.

Which doesn't help seeing as how you were probably working at the time.
