I moved in to University Club 7 months ago. I knew someone who lived in the Tower in 1969, when it was brand new, and had always wanted to live there. When I was divorced, one of the reasons I chose the Tower is safety. The covered parking on the first few floors is great. There is security at the entrance to the parking garage at night and on weekends. I live on the 26th floor and appreciate the fast elevators. Whenever I have had maintenance issues, the staff has addressed it promptly. There are people of all ages (although very few children) living in the tower, so it is like a community all on its own. Since I moved in, the Tower has begun to allow tenants to have cats in their apartments--no dogs. I have met people who have lived here 10 years, 20 years, and one guy who was the first tenant almost 40 years ago. If you don't want to drive, the Tower has a shuttle that runs three times in the morning and three times in the afternoon shuttling people to work downtown. Also, the shuttle goes to Utica Square, Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc. The huge indoor pool is wonderful and the work-out area is fairly well equipped, clean and open long hours. I believe I can enjoy living here for a long time.

We lived on the 26th floor too. We loved it. We overlooked downtown and I LOVED it around Christmas time as the building downtown changed out their regular lightbulbs to red and green. We did have a cat in our apartment even though back then (2002-03) they did not allow it. Even though pets were not allowed they didn't say anything to us about having a cat. Even the maitenance men would come in to change the air vents and such, but never said anything about the cat. I think so many people were having cats so they decided to just make it public. Great to see they allow cats now.
