First of all the management of this property needs to be replaced by BH Management soon as possible, the land where side walks should be are in need of replacement or ones that where never built or in need, the gutters and the structure of the buildings are in very poor condition my roof leaked badly and the fire place black cover is falling off and they do not have the fire places cleaned like they should do after a year you have lived there can be a danger to you and others yes we moved I was told it has been like that for years by a staff member that is no working there anymore hum open your mouth and get your pick slip, you have trees in some of the yards that the roots from the trees prohibit grass from growing to the fact you can just trip over the roots and if not carful you will brake your ankle, you have power transformers on the ground that are going down into the earth just about all over the place.
In addition, the management is not in- forcing tenants to pick up after there dogs! I just paid $185.00 for a pair of dress shoes for work, got out of my car and into my home, only to have dog mess on them, this is in the lease you sign if you have a dog, also you have dogs that are not on there leash, don t have young children playing near are on the property Where you pay rent to they may get bit are you just trying to check your mail or get in your car to go to work so that you can pay your RENT .
In addition, the lighting on the grounds are very poor, Oh the Projects are right down the street! Moreover, this is not an ALL-secure gated complex, and we all no what lives in low income housing, you can also be on you balcony and hear Gun Shots go off at night, hum may need to buy a gun just for your own protection at night so getting out of your car and to your home, just to be safe, if you feel that you must move there, Please get rental insurance my unit that I moved from leaked so badly, it damaged over $3,000.00 of my belongings, they did not fix it till after I moved from a friend that is still there told us.
So look around Tulsa real good before you make the mistake we did moving there, BH Management needs to do a lot of work to this complex for the money they ask for to live there.

For starters what are you doing walking around so close to trees that you would trip on the tree roots? As for the mess on your dress shoes, again why did you walk on the grass? There are sidewalks, you know. Have you never heard of watching where you walk/step? I lived at Westport in the late 1990s and then moved back in 2005. I have never heard gunshots from my balcony nor anywhere around the complex. If your apartment was at the south end of the complex toward the low incoming housing apartments, that might have been where the gunshots were coming from and are usually expected in those types of residential areas. I do agree that some residents and other people walking on the walking paths don't clean up after their dogs, especially large dogs and also there are a few people letting their dogs run loose with no leash which is against city ordinance and the apartment rules per the lease. But, there are always some people who think they are above laws and rules. I've not had really any problems with the staff either time I lived here (the first time I lived here was under different management). I do agree though that other than the exterior painting that was done a year ago, which was badly needed, the apartment exteriors seem to be falling apart. These apartments were built in the mid 1970's I believe. And with like anything, vehicles, homes, etc., if maintenance does not stay on top of things to keep everything in good working order, things can start falling apart. There is a lot of settling of the buildings due to extreme dry and hot weather, then wet and cold weather here, plus a lot of clay soil that can cause damage to buildings. I checked out some other apartments last summer and for the price, ease of location to everything and apartment space, Westport was in line with other rents and were nicer than other apartments. I do agree it is past time for Westport to do some interior remodeling in the apartments as the appliances, lighting, kitchen cabinets, mirrored walls, etc. are very outdated now. By the way, if you find the perfect apartment, let me know. :-)
