Hey, I like it..

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
My roommate and I were looking for a place to live for a long time. We used this site to help in our decision in finding a place. She had a made a list of apartments that were in the area we wanted and then gave it to me to decide which ones were the best to go and look at. After looking at this site, I immediately crossed off the Yacht Club saying that it sounded like the worst one on there... and that we definitely wouldn't be living there.
Soon after, my mother told me that my cousin was living there and that we should take a look. So one day, we decided to stop and look at the apartment. We had seen several others that all looked the same. But this one, a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, had a different floor plan from the others. It was not a roommate floor plan like we had seen.
There's a main living room when you walk in the door. The kitchen and dining room are beside it. Then there's a hall with a bedroom on one side, a bathroom opposite the bedroom, and another bedroom at the end of the hall with a bathroom inside of it.
The master bedroom has a walk in closet, and is a bit bigger than the other bedroom. While the other bedroom does not have a walk in closet, it is large and takes up one side of the wall.
There is also a coat closet in the "dining room."
And a linen closet in the bathroom.
We have only had one maintenance problem, and that was me locking myself out of the bathroom. In about 30 minutes, someone was there to fix the problem.
Where we are, parking is never a problem. However, I can see other areas of the complex where parking doesn't look as great. I think it definitely depends on where you live.
The location is great. It's really close to Promenade Mall, and about ten minutes away from Woodland Hills.
The office staff have always been friendly and helpful to us. We're living here for $459 a month right now, and we are about to renew our lease. They've only raised the rates 10 dollars. It was the second-cheapest apartment that we saw. The first cheapest, which was 449, was way on Riverside and it was a little scary.
And, the apartment that they showed us was the one that we ended up living in. They didn't have model rooms for 2 bedrooms or anything, that way they aren't fooling you into getting something when you have no idea what to expect.
We've seen no roaches or anything like that. I think we might have had a spider here once or twice. But that's typical anywhere. We've lived for about 4-5 months now.
It's hardly noisy, only like once a month when our neighbor plays their music quite loudly for a few minutes.
It seems to be safe and well-lit also.
I would definitely recommend living here. At least if you are looking for a two bedroom. I can't really tell you what it's like for those who live in one bedroom apartments on the other side of the complex.
Here, it's mostly families and/or young couples.
Oh, and I can't exactly remember what the deposit was. I want to say 100-200 dollars.
