Not only was this the biggest mastake ever made, but try living out your lease, giving a 30 day notice, moving and expecting your deposit back. NOT!!! They tried to say more money was owed for rent... (good thing we made one of the office staff put it in writing and sign how much we owed when we put in the 30 day notice) then they tried to say their was damage to the apartment... (good thing we got pictures after cleaning it after moving). We paid the apartments $45.00 to clean the carpet a week before moving(keep receipts)! They lie. They have one more week to get the deposit to us or trust me this will end up in court. Then they will not only have to give back the deposit but pay court costs on top of it. Also... the reason for moving; nothing but trash moving into the apartments. Probably becasue the office staff is trash, and police there all the time, and for the smart one who made a comment about the last review in reference to EMSA. FYI: EMSA is always dispatched along with Fire dept along with police, everytime someone calls 911. Who in the heck would build apartments in a nice community and then rent to complete and total trash' Go back to N.W. 10th street where you came from for God Sake. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

Hey, had the same problem with my deposit. It took months to get it back. I finally called their corporate office in San Antonio, TX. Who told me they never sent in the paperwork. After I stated that I was going to take this up with attorney, I got my deposit back minus the cleaning $35. The corporate office also sent me the paperwork to prove the date that they received my paperwork from Chappelridge staff. The staff turned it in two months after I moved out. Also, FYI, you only have to pay for normal wear and tear. Also, I got tired of the police there too, that's why I moved. And I support the response about ESMA being there all the time, and I'm glad they responded to the staff member who was trying to be a smarty pants. They read this site often, and I'm glad they know what we think of them.
