I have been here almost a year and my contract is coming up. The apartments are nice compared to some places I have lived in OKC. My apartment faced towards I-40 and I would strongly caution anyone looking at the apartments on this side unless you like highway noise. I have gotten used to it. The apartments are cheaper than those on the NW side of OKC. I am paying $785 for the second floor 3 bedroom. The new management left me a note on my door that if I wanted to stay on a month to month basis that I would have to pay an additional $100 per month. If I sign a 6 month it is only an extra $50 per month and if I sign for another year I can keep my same rent as I have been paying. The extra cost is to keep up with the housing market in this area, but if they were smart they would keep the cost the same and prove that things will get better. This apartment is not worth $885 per month. This makes me angry, most apartments let you live month to month after completing a year contract. You have to be careful which building you live in and the parking that is close to it. If you live on the inside you have to walk on the grass to get to your apartment, I can't even imagine carrying all my belongings that far to get to my apartment moving in or out, even on a daily basis. One of my neighbors had the tires stole off of his truck. There have been some drug deals in the parking lot before security could get there. My car got hit in the parking lot and no one owned up to it. Water runs about $36 per month. The trash is picked up curbside MTF 6-9am(the best feature of this complex). Electricty runs about $140 during the winter and $70 during the summer. The windows leak badly and I have complained about my door several times. The door doesn't seal and I asked them to fix it this winter several times
after the first snow storm, and with the second snow storm I fixed it myself because snow was actually piling up inside my apartment door, not to mention the freezing cold air. The heater could barely keep my apartment warm-I had the thermostat turned to 85 most of the time just so it would be about 70. I think they finally have the gates fixed, but they still don't work upon occasion. They have an outside cable company for the TV and you have to pay a deposit plus first months bill upon activation. Cox for high speed and telephone. Why couldn't they have Cox for the TV' We will never know the answer! I don't like the girl upfront, she is bad about interrupting a discussion about getting apartment information to answer the phone. The door locks are powered with double A batteries and one morning I went to take my child to the bus stop and couldn't get back into the door. I had to wait for the front office to open and maintance to come zap it to get back in and change the batteries. Thankfully I didn't have to go to work that morning. Wish you the best of luck if you decide to come here. The Links are right down the street with all the amenities you could ever want cheaper than this place and everyone seems to like them, although they don't have 3 bedroom apartments. Good luck apartment hunting!

I think this sounds like someone from the Links apartment staff. The new management and owner is awesome. They have really proven they care about the residents and the property.

I have to agree with the poster, the management is not following thru in fixing issues I have been here a year and my lease is up in June and I dont plan on staying. I have had issues since day one, with no luck. This winter I could not keep my apartment warm, they finally looked at it and said it was an issue with the outside unit and just to run it on emergancy heat and thus tripled my electric bill. I also agree about the out side cable provider that provided direct TV, we loose signal when it storms out side, god forbid that another tornado bears down and the only people that caught it was on TV.

I just have to say it is really sad that these apartments are so nice but so poorly managed, Since moving to Yukon I had wanted to live here but followed the advise of my parents to get something cheaper till after college graduation, well I have lived here and now I am plannning to move because Highland Pointe is not what is percieved to be.
