Management LIED about rent increases. I got in on a good deal and they said it would only go up about $15-$20 after my lease was up. Try $50 to $200. Then they said the same thing for my next lease. "Since you've been here for over 1 year and we never have problems with you, we should only have to go up $10-$20 next time." Whatever! A notice was put on my door and let me tell you, it was more like $90 to $120 for the next time. I cut my losses and ran. Then the manager talked to me, as I was moving out, and said I should have called them and we could have negotiated a better deal. I'm sorry, but I don't feel like after 18 months there I should have to negotiate anything. They should be begging me to stay since I was a good tenant.

Then of course there's the security deposit issue. I moved out October 31, 2005, today it is December 30, 2005 and I have not received my refund. They supposedly sent it to the wrong address and it came back and then they resent it, but that was over 2 weeks ago. I guess they lie about everything they do.

Also noisy upstairs, downstairs and all around neighbors. The stairs are really loud even for normal people walking up and down them. My Sunday Oregonian was also stolen about 1/3 of the time as well. Management said I could use their Sunday paper on Wednesday. That doesnt exactly solve my issues with THEFT. It may only be $2.00 but its my $2.00 and the Oregonian had to come out again each time to redeliver.

The hot tub that they let everyone use during the summer was closed about 1/2 the time due to maintenance issues. They should just get rid of it and put in a play structure for the kids. When I moved in they were trying to get something for the kids to do, that never happened.

In fact, they even limited what kids could do. We get stupid memo's on our doors with rules such as no playing with balls of any kind on the property and kids should be sent to the parking lot area to play, and so forth.

Also, don't count on being able to use your own air conditioner during the hot days. After the first hot day of the season we got another memo on our doors stating if we choose to have an AC we had to have it professionally installed with proof of payment, we had to pay the office $50 for all AC's installed and they had to approve the AC unit before we put it in. Of course they also said it had to be installed in the back of the apartment. Don't know about you, but I want to live in my living room, not my bedroom. Everything they do is messed up. I guess after everyone called to complain they said we could have it in the living rooms, but the other stuff still applied. WHATEVER. I don't think I should have to pay them and have it professionally installed when all you do is put it in the window. There's no drilling, no tools are even required. I'm so glad I'm gone.

The parking also sucks. Everyone has 2 cars so when you have visitors they have to park on the street, which is full sometimes as well.

I just wish I could get my security deposit back, then I can move on.

Lived there 18 months myself. The tenant below me threatened to kill my roommate because he was walking up the steps. Of course I exacerbated this issue after a night of drinking by doing stair sprints at 2 a.m. but thats a different issure.

This place is garbage though.
