Talk about Horrific

My wife and I moved into Woodcreek in the later half of 99. We moved into a small one bedroom tube (I call it a tube because that is what it felt like when you were inside. Walls all around with light coming from two ends). The rent was not to high, but it was higher then the signs advertised at the entrance to the community. Our neighbors were OK, and the community was kind of cute. Little did we know that this was the climax of our stay in Woodcreek.

We decided we needed more space and moved into a two bedroom on the other side of the community. Things were great at first. We had two cars, and at first there was enough space.

Things started to change quickly. A lot of the good neighbors started to move out due to rate increases. Half of the apartments in our building were vacant for quite sometime. At that point the management lowered the standards, and all sorts of rif-raf moved in. There is no A/C in the apartments so you have to leave the windows open to get cooler air in the summer. Tons of kids play in the court yards until 12:00 midnight. People sit under your deck smoking, because they can't do it inside, so inevitably it goes into your apartment. Complaining to the management is useless. None of the people that work in the office live in the community, they all live in better places, and there is someone new each time you go in. There is supposedly a resident manager, but no one knows who he is, including the people in the office.

Much like one of the other reviews, it was frustrating to pay $760 per month, and see the sign at the entrance advertising 2-bedrooms for $599. The straw that broke the camels back was when our lease came up, and they wanted to raise our rates by 8%. Half the apartments are vacant, they advertise rent at $599, we had been there for two years paying rent on time, and they want to raise our rent. What the hell are they thinking' So we bought a house instead.

If you think it looks cute, you're right, it does. Looks are very deceiving. Run, Run while you still can.
