We moved into these apts thinking we were getting more for our money ($775 for 1,042sq ft!), but the second we moved in, we noticed EXACTLY why they were so cheap.
The noise you hear through the walls is unbearable! You can hear every cough, conversation, shower, toilet trip, etc that your neighbor makes. Also, the insulation is very bad in the walls. Our electricity bill is usually a min. of $90, & mainly about $120. There is A LOT of mold/mildew in the windowsills, and the blinds/window latches SUCK! The appliances are old, and break very easily, but they do work well (minus the dishwasher)when running properly.
Now, those things annoyed us here, but weren't the so-called "finisher" for us. What did that was the carpet (it is NOT stain proof at all, not even a water spot from shoes), and the weird foul smell that constantly developed. Its really disgusting, & the only thing that I can think of that caused it was the mold buildup in the windows. I am just a very clean person, and to constantly have to spray room freshener(even tho the room is spotless) and have carpet spray ready EVERY time someone puts a shoe on the carpet, just irks me.
Also, people do NOT know how to drive/park in this complex!!! There are cars CONSTANTLY parked in the tow areas, and in the middle of the roads. I'm not exaggerating either. Numerous times, people have literally parked directly behind our cars and we cannot get out all together. There are not monitoring of the premises of these problems either, UNLESS you physically call them to come look. JUST A HEADS UP!

On the upside of the apartments: the location is peaceful and convenient. There are awesome walking trails surrounding the area, along with 2 pools in the complex. For the most part, all the residence are very friendly and the community is VERY animal friendly (which I love). The maintenance people are fast and really friendly too.

Prices are going up though, especially the month to month ($1060.00!) and $100 more a month for a year lease. Just seems like a lot for a little in return, and THAT is another reason we are not signing again.

I aggree with this post! I moved in Dec 2006 and am breaking my lease to move out NOW! After the first year we got a rent increase of $125! The walls are so thin you can practically hear people breath. Our bathroom ceiling leaks water from the neigbor upstairs, but when notified, nothing is done about it. I am just waiting for the ceiling to fall on the floor. My apartment has a strange smell too, only it seems to be coming from the kitchen sink (which plugs up at least once a month) I pour bleach down the drain and do not keep garbage under the sink and it still smells. I agree with people parking in wrong places. I have called the security number and they do not respond. Now we are starting to have a transient problem. There is a large over grown field back where my apt is and a transient has been found sleeping under my bedroom window at least twice. When I talked to the management about it, their response was it is not their problem. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
