When I first moved to Elmonica Court I was quite pleased with what I got - it's a very middle-of-the-run apartment, but was the most expensive I could afford. However the longer I've lived here the more I want to leave! They've been "updating" and making the complex "more beautiful" since I moved here but the contractors they hire do extremely substandard work. They spray paint everything so there's droplets of paint here and there, they don't improve the work...just paint over it, and it's all very fast in-out-we're done. I even found a spider hanging from its web, dead after being spraypainted white. Almost all of the wood needs to be sanded and they didn't bother taking care of the peeling paint - they just painted over it. After they powerwashed the complex to prep it for re-painting, I came home to a small pool of water in my entryway that had seeped onto my carpeting. I notified the manager who had the carpet cleaners come in to take care of it - I predict they were there about 30 seconds, so naturally the stain is now set in.
My largest complaint, however, is the type of people who move in - apparently they take just anybody. I'm a young adult, but I don't appreciate it when others assume because I'm young I'm never bothered by anything. They moved three young men right below me who are ridiculously loud at all hours of the day or night. They leave cigarette butts and beer cans all over the place and have little respect for their neighbors.
I haven't had a lot of other problems I've run into in other apartments such as appliance breakdown, but as aforementioned, it's only so so and not really worth it. I'd say move into Cambridge Crossing across the street - about the same cost and it looks nicer.
It is nice that a washer/dryer is included in the mix, but they don't pay for a single thing so you've got bills to think about along with rent.
