prowlers are just too much to handle!!!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
Hind-sight is 20/20 and if I had known that we would have encountered as many problems as we have, in this past year, we never would have moved out of the Complex we were in. During the day this complex looks decevingly nice from the oustide, but by night it's a different story.
1) For the price they charge for these units a parking spot (at least ONE) should be included with your apartment. If you come home anytime after 5pm you're screwed on finding a spot close to your apartment, and you usually end up hiking from the other side of the complex. We rented a carport so we would at least have one spot close to the apartment, but on NUMEROUS occasions, we've had other tenants who take the liberty to park in our carport, I guess because they assume we aren't coming home'' There's nothing that pisses me off more then coming home from a long day, only to find some jack-ass has parked in our spot!!! We found that parking behind them usually works, rather than towing the people, although that option has also worked!
2) We have placed three reports with the police about a prowler that likes to camp out by our living room window, and that's only three times that we have had actually seen him, but who knows if there have been other times as well... it's always been at night and I can't ever get a good description, one time he was blatently standing in my window looking in, and another time I was home alone and when I walked out of my apartment, the guy was lurking on the side of the building!!! When I let the office know, they gave me a very brushed off attitude saying "yah, we've had complaints before about the Peeping Tom, and we think it's someone who lives in the complex, we just can't seem to catch him" Well that makes me feel a whole helluva lot safer knowing that the Prowler is also a resident here, and could possibly be my neighbor''' Later I was told that floodlights were placed in "low light" areas of the complex, but funny, I LIVE in one of those low light areas, and I have yet to see any floodlights or extra security measures taken to increase my feeling of security. Upon giving our 30 day Notice, I did point out to the office staff which window the prowler likes to stand in, so maybe that will be a high selling point when they are renting this unit out again...
3) Apartment Noise- Taken into consideration that this is apartment living, there will always be some level of noise from the other units. But one of our neighbors seems to be building on an addition to his apartment, because on the weekends there is a skill or table saw that runs pretty much non-stop on his deck, not only has our deck been covered with a layer of sawdust, being a student makes it hard, in my own home, to find a quiet place to study on the weekends, other then that the other surrounding apartments are just white noise and not that bothersome.
All in all, I am anxiously awaiting our move, as we are both tired of paying someone else's rent, and not getting anything out of the deal except heartache!! And I am counting down our days to getting the hell out of the BeaverRidge Aparment Complex. The move into this apartment has proved to be more trouble than it was worth, and if only someone else would have placed their comments into this site, maybe we could have avoided this nightmare altogether!
Let's just hope they don't try screwing us out of our cleaning deposit, as I have read has happened to others...
TWO BIG THUMBS DOWN!!!
