This place is cheap yes, but you will sacrifice so much to live here! I lived here for over a year and even broke my lease to get the hell out of that rat hole!

Reason #1: the noise issues. The noise inside and outside of the apartment is unbearable. The people that live there are very rude, inconsiderate, and make it feel like I'm living in spanish harlem. I lived next door to an very, very loud neighbor who played loud music and base all night long. I could even hear him screaming through the thin walls. I had to end up moving my mattress to the living room! When I complained to the managers, they did nothing to help the situation! Outside of the complex is also very loud. The car dealership next door is constantly using their loud speakers to garner costumers. The train also blares its horn all throughout the night and woke me up constantly. The complex also has so many loud residents and screaming babies and kids that wail at all hours. As you can guess, I got no peace and quiet throughout my whole stay.

Reason #2: the money you will lose if you stay here. The windows are cheap and are not vinyl. I lost so much money on my heating bill because those windows let cold air basically blow right in. The managers also raised my rent in the middle of my lease! When I talked to them about it they gave me the complete run around. I also just recently moved and I still got none of my deposit back. In fact, they charged me $200 extra after I moved out for painting and cleaning fees!

Reason #3: The apartments themselves are poorly made. The white carpets are very thin and cheap. The windows are also poorly made and let all kinds of cold air in. The kitchen tile and cupboards are all bone white. This means every little speck of dirt makes the kitchen look dirty. After a few months, everything just looks grimy and gross.

Overall, please, please stay away from here! It was the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment! Any money you might save from the cheap rent will either be taken away from your deposit, or will be eaten up when they raise your rent!

I completely agree on all points this user has posted. I have to go over the entire kitchen with bleach once a week, and the carpet is just crap, coming up at the corners a month after it was laid. Guess who is going to get charged for it at the end of the lease? Shoddy workmanship all around. Painting and cleaning fees are supposed to be part of the deposit, not charged afterward. I hear babies screaming right now, as a matter of fact! I understand that people with kids need a place to live, but perhaps they should buy a house before they have 14 children. I also didn't mention the COCKROACHES. Our apartment is immaculate, but cockroaches keep showing up. We're on the second floor, and the apartment below us stinks. I can smell it through their windows. Disgusting. Don't live here.

When my g/f and I our roomate first moved in, it was nice. For about 2 weeks. Then came the damn police or firetruck sirens every night. The police would show up about once a week for some reason. Calling it a "Spanish harlem" is putting it mildly. Every damn neighbor had like 10 children. they left there crap everywhere. One little boy even peed in front of our kitchen window. OMFG!! I went out to yell at him and he was gone. management did nothing. they too were pieces of dung. There was a heavy rain about 2 years ago, it flooded part of the back of the apt. There was a broken gutter. We lost a dresser due to the mold from the rain. Then they wanted to charge US with fixing the gutter that should have diverted the rain in the first place. They told us it was our fault. All they did was spray some bleach water on the mold!! Parking is disgusting. its first come first serve. Ok fine. We even bought a parking space, and someone else alwasy seemd to be in it. Turns out the management rented that space to us AND someone else!! OMFG DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! UNLESS YOU'RE SOME INSOMNIAC SLOB WHO LIVES FOR URINE AND SPANISH FOLK. I WISH THEY WOULD JUST CONDEMN THE WHOLE PLACE.
