Yo!

Very nice place to live

This is probably the best apartment that I've ever rented, and if external circumstances did not force me to move out, I would probably live here for some time to come. I love the landscaping, or to be more precise, the naturalistic quality it has. Rather than relying on spraying bark dust all over the place (which they do rarely), the have lots of plants and trees. The community has plenty of sidewalks that are well-lit at night. You can walk anywhere you need to go without having to set off into pitch black areas without walkways, as some places are like. I know in a sense it is just a feature of Beaverton, but it is located in a place with plenty of "city nature" to walk out in to. Two sides of the complex are adjacent to mini-parks, and there is a large nature park just down the road.

The interior layouts are quite nice, all things considered. They aren't just your standard box design that most apartments are. The porches are very large and fenced off for privacy. The fixtures and utilities were a little cheap/old, but nothing worth complaining over. Just about the only problem I had with the place was the people they hired to keep the grounds clean. This crew uses leaf blowers *all* year long. It doesn't matter if it is the dead of winter and there hasn't been a single leaf on the ground in months; every week they are out there blasting air and dust all over the place. When there are actually leaves, the crew tends to blow them all up onto your porch. I gave up on having nice things set out on the porch. Every week they would get coated in muck and dust. And like another person said, they really need to crack down on the people that let their dogs crap just anywhere and not pick up after them. Signs are up on all the green areas, but its the non-green areas that are a problem. In between side-walks, even on sidewalks, around the mailbox clusters.

Noise levels are okay. There are a lot of screaming children that run around, so if you don't like kids that could be a problem.

Complaints aside; as I started out with, it is the best place I've lived. The management is friendly, the area is quite nice with good food choices if you eat out, and lots of nice parks to walk in. I am not a huge fan of suburbia, but this place almost made it comfortable; for me, that is saying quite a lot!
