In the last two months that cambridge has owned the aparment complex I have had nothing but problems with the staff that they chose to hire. Not to mention the ant infestation that has not been delt with since I reported it to them in December, they have come in once to spray and that was after several weeks of hounding them about the problem. When I talked to management that the ants after spraying had become worse they said that they would have to bug bomb the place and that we would have to take our pets and selves away for several hours. I work full time, they didn't offer to help other than if we cant be out of the building there is simply nothing that they are able to do. Also the work orders that they had placed say that they had sprayed on other dates wich never happened. I have proof. I was also told since they had work orders stating that they came in that it would never hold up in court but they never came in to do the job.
So five days before the end of December we were given a notice stating that they were raising rent $80 a month starting february 1st or we could give our give our 30 days notice. We went to the office to speak with them about this and were treated very rudely and told that most residents are just getting a 30 day by by, and that we are lucky to have gotten this at all.
I'm not a mean nor vindictive person, but I do desire a certain level of customer service, and I only have so much tolerance for being treated poorly once. When this has happened time and time again. I don't believe that is worth anyones time to be mistreated.
So it was decided that we put in our thirty day notice. On the 29th of January my husband went in to do a walk through and turn in our keys. He waited outside the office an extra half an hour after they were supposed to have opened because they were having a staff meeting and everyone was there. He was told "oh ok do you have an appointment". Never in the process of turning in our 30 days and several other conversations we had did they ever say we needed an appointment. He was also told "oh you need an appointment, we don't have anyone here that can help you".
I'm sorry people this is your job you are supposed to be doing this is ridiculous. My husband took time off work and out of his day and you refuse to help him. come on.
Well thanks for a horrible experience. I hope no one gets suckered in again and that they look at the ratings because the good ones are probably management posing as residents.
OH also the windows have been leaking since the storm in december and haven't been fixed as well.
