I read some of the comments left by residence here and my opinion is that they are primarily complaining about a bad neighbor. This world is not perfect and neither is LaSalle. Maintenance responds quickly and does a good job (though there are a large number with limited English), the grounds are kept quite well. There is an absolutely huge parking lot in the complex (park&ride for MAX)as well as many small parking areas throughout- all well lit and safe. There are two exercise/pool/hot tub areas and a children's playground.
I've been blessed with relatively quiet neightbors and only one major maintenance issue in the year and a half I've been here. It was taken care of within a very reasonable time.
"Things" will happen no matter where you live. I feel I've had a very nice experience living here. I consider the (limited!) number of shops, convenience of the MAX station, and general location of LaSalle to be nice bonuses.
