Bring Your Earplugs!!!

Looks can definitely be deceiving. Although this is a newer complex (I moved in about a year or so after it was built), the workmanship was shoddy. Floors creaked all over in the townhomes-- I lived at two different units during my tenancy & visited neighbors-- we all had creaky floors. Screws popped up from the separaters between the vinyl and carpet. Some nails started to pop up through carpet.
I can not fail to mention what it's like to wake up to your NEIGHBOR'S alarm clock, dogs yapping, kids running up & down the stairs screaming, neighbor's modem screeching while getting on to internet, neighbor's phone ringing etc. etc. Amazing how thin the walls are. And my neighbors heard some other types of things that I will not detail here.
Management was gracious-- love those fresh-baked cookies! They were always friendly and attempted to respond to requests in a prompt manner. (Even though the hot tub didn't work for about 10 months...)
The location was excellent, especially because of the MAX line, LaSalle's proximity to Cedar Hills w/ all the necessities-- WinCo, Beaverton Mall, etc. and the closeness to the freeway.
But overall, we GREATLY lacked any privacy or peace & quiet due to the poor craftsmanship of the buildings. For the huge amount of rent we paid ($1425 for a townhome-- yikes!) we got a crappy place to live. Woe to those that live here 10 years from now when things REALLY start falling apart...
