I stayed at LaSalle for one year. In the beginning they were surprised when we moved in , despite the fact I called them several times to double check (including the day before we moved in). During the time we lived there the staff sent several bills which made no sense. When we would question them about it, they could never determine what they were for. They would always blame it on their computer software. When we renewed our lease they were also confused on how to pro-rate rent. I showed them how to do it using basic math. Once again, they blamed it on their computer program.

When we moved out once our lease was up, they charged us an early lease termination fee, despite the fact we moved out right when our lease was up. This took another 3 months to resolve.-----------------, the manager, kept blowing us off and kept promising to resolve the issue. It took several months, twice calling up the regional manager for equity apartments, and twice contacting the Better Business Bureau before we got our refund check and even later to get a final statement.

The complex is generally nice otherwise. The location near the MAX is great. Stay away from townhome style apartments near the back entrance since parking is not really available in front of the apartment due to the island (poor design).

We only had one major maintenance problem. The fire alarm was faulty and constantly went off. The problem was called in before we left town. When we got back in town on New Year's Day (about a week later) the issue was still not fixed. We called the after hours number for maintenance since we really didn't want to hear beeping all night. The maintenance worker was friendly and fixed the problem quickly. He mentioned that no one at the office had informed him of the problem before.
