The main complaint that I have with LaSalle is the fact that the apartments are so expensive yet the management staff have NO interest in developing a relationship with you. Their focus is on getting the maximum price for the apartment and they don't care who lives there. Be ready for the price of your rent to go up DRAMATICALLY after your 1 year lease is up. The only deal you will ever see is in the first year. After that, you are expected to pay the market price.
There are also a lot of good things about LaSalle. It is a great community. Few kids, mostly starter families (late 20s early 30s - without kids), and some retired folks. Direct access to the MAX line, good location, and the grounds are kept up very nicely. The people that live here are willing to PAY the high rent most likely due to the community and lack of problems.
