we are finally leaving this place, and i couldn't be happier. the first year was fine. we live in a bottom floor unit and never heard our neighbors and the management was pleasant.

after the first year, and signing an 18 month lease, it went to hell. they stopped accepting packages from ups/usps/fedex, which means you're screwed if you work regular hours.

then my new upstairs neighbor walked "like an elephant" (her words) and came home with her teenage kids at all hours of the night, and pranced around like it was the middle of the day. after months of being awakened 3 and 4 times in the middle of the night, every night, and filing numerous complaints, they made her move.

when they told us she would be moving, one of the girls in the office said "and we'll make sure we put a family of 8 above you. hee hee." hee hee, indeed. we now have a family of 4, with a 2 year old and a 5 year old (who jumped on her bed for 3 hours the other night, only stopping at 9pm because i asked her to) and a parent who works the night shift, and keeps that schedule on his off days. with his boots on.

our apartment flooded with mud last summer, and the kitchen cabinets are useless (too narrow to hold dishes) and the mold buildup is a nightmare.

i lived most of my life in apartments, and never had such issues with my neighbors before, and such snarkiness from the management.

oh, and the final straw to move - they wanted to raise my rent $100/month with a new lease.

there is one competent and nice person in the office.
