Warning: Don't Rent Here

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
I lived at Reflections from 2000-2001, when it was under the old management and ownership. So, when I was looking for an apartment again, I moved back into the property...even though it is more expensive than others in the area ($745 utils). I have lived at Reflections from 2004-07, and I am so glad to leave. The management is very rude. Also, they treat tenants like high school kids (checking garages to make sure they are clean and that cars can be parked there). They have gone through all apartments on two occassions in the past few months. Both times they left my door unlocked. I broke my lease because they threatened my security; I just couldn't feel secure with their irresponsible behavior. So, I incurred a broken lease charge. I have lived in many apartments, and when clean received my cleaning deposit back. I paid to have the apt. cleaned and was still charged for cleaning. I was given a free carpet cleaning as a concession for an earlier lease renewal. The certificate didn't mention that I couldn't use it at check out, so I decided to use it when I vacated...only to be informed I couldn't use it in that manner. They also reserved the right to fine you $75 if you can't park your car in your garage, $75 if you don't pay the full amount of rent and utilities (even though the utility bill is many times received after the rent is due). The rain water pooled in front of my door, when it rained...causing me to walk through inches of water. I called maintenance many times to no avail. Apartments have a real problem with mold...more than others I have rented in the area. Garbage is regularly overflowing in their dumpsters. Cross this property off off your list.
