application is a trick--don't even apply RUN FOR YOUR LIFE

The management demands your security deposit with your application. They don't hold that check until your move-in date, as other apartment complexes do. They deposit your check as soon as they know you're approved. They don't tell you until a few days later that you are approved. There is no opportunity to say yes or no. Even if a medical event changes your plans the same week, a month before the move-in date, they will not refund the deposit. Every time I've called to try to work with them, I got a different story. At first they said the apartment would be held until the move-in date, then they said it would only be held two weeks, but either way, they will not refund the deposit. If you try to negotiate to release the "hold" on the apartment in exchange for a refund, they threaten you with being charged rent, even though you have never moved in, never signed a lease, and tried to work with them.
After I read the other reviews, I ran, leaving the deposit, glad to have escaped a much larger, more expensive mistake. RUN.
Run. There must be some other place, any other place, which will meet your needs as well or better. This has been a $238 lesson. I'm very thankful I'm not moving there afterall. I should have read the reviews before going there.
