mixed feelings

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
We lived at Sir Charles Court for 2 years. We had a 2 br 2 bath and it was pretty cramped, but the layout was nice. The bedrooms are seperated by a hallway bathroom which is nice when there is company staying over etc.
Parking was great and we were never without a spot day or night.
When we moved in, the carpet was trashed and the cleaning job was minimal at best. We talked with management about our issues and we came to a mutual agreement that we agreed was fair.
The outside lighting does have issues. Sometimes the lights would work by the mailboxes and sometimes not.
There are A LOT of kids in this complex, but we figured that out when we looked at the apartment to begin with by seeing the play grounds Sir Charles has on site. So if you don't like kids... not a place for you! A couple posters below have mentioned rude kids etc. I guess I don't view them as CTL's problem, maybe their PARENTS should try parenting'''
One thing I thought was interesting when looking at this apartment and upon moving in was there was never any mention of inspections. If you live here or are thinking about living at Sir Charles... be warned! You will have NO privacy! You will receive a notice on your door a couple days before they enter to snoop around. I had nothing to hide, but its my feeling that as long as I pay rent and don't cause problems, I deserve some sort of respect in the way I live my life and shouldn't have to worry about some stranger coming in my apartment to look around and see my dirty dishes in the sink etc. SO REDICULOUS!
We could never hear our neighbors on either side of us but the people above us CONSTANTLY stomped and literally shook our windows. They also claimed they could hear our t.v. and so we ALWAYS made it a point to turn the t.v. and/or noise level down at 10 p.m.
The landscapers do come early and take a lot of time keeping the grounds nice.
If I ever put in a work request in person, it was done within 24 hours. When I put one in online, I always had to follow up on the phone the next day.
Ever since Megan Brown left, management and the leasing staff aren't very friendly and aren't in any hury to get anything done. Anytime we had an issue Megan Brown made sure the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently. I cant say the same about the current staff.
The pool is NOT heated. Staff likes to use the term "solar heated" but it is FREEZING ICE COLD even on 100 degree days. The hot tub is lukewarm all the time.
Also, the hot water inside the apartment is lukewarm and runs out very quickly. Management and maintenace refuses to adjust the setting.
Honestly you cant expect much from apartment living, but Sir Charles Court was overall a good experience for us and was better than we expected it to be.
