In the years I have lived here, I have seen many apartment managers come and go. They seem to get younger, less experienced, and less professional each time. The maintenance staff has gotten progressively less skilled, as well. Neighbors are a bit nosey and walls are thin. The windows are drafty and traffic noise is significant along Murray. HSC management of this apartment complex is currently doing a piece by piece, heavy duty renovation that included the swimming pool and clubhouse, and thus our rents have skyrocketed over the course of the years I have lived here. Clearly, they are passing the cost on to the residents. We are charged for covered parking, trash, water and sewer. Initially covered parking and trash were free. They always find ways to nickel and dime you. Don't be fooled by office staff claiming that the price they charge here in this apartment complex is "the going rate" in Murray Hill, because IS IT NOT! Finally, you can expect your rent to increase with each new lease you sign. With due diligence, you can find a less expensive apartment in the Murray Hills area (see Overlook Apartments).
