Spacious, but old and noisy

I originally wrote a "positive" review, but after living here longer had to edit it!

Complex is made up of 4-plex buildings. Each 4-plex building has either 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom apartments (i.e. they don´t have any buildings that have BOTH 2 bedroom & 1 bedroom apartments).

Complex is older (early 70´s construction'), and thus show some signs of aging. My apartment has decent appliances, but the cabinets in the kitchen have obviously been repaired numerous times. The floor squeaks a lot when you walk around, and I´ve been told by my downstairs neighbors that when I step on a particular floorboard in the bedroom it sounds like the ceiling is going to collapse (even though I don´t hear much myself). THEY OFTEN POUNDED ON THE CEILING AND MADE ME FEEL MISERABLE JUST FOR LIVING IN MY APARTMENT.

1180 square feet of living space. Second bedroom is very small, but you could fit a queen bed into it. Downstairs apartments have a half-height dividing wall between the "dining" and "living" rooms, whereas the upper floor apartments have a more open floorplan.

Complex has a pool & laundry rooms. Ground floor apartments have hookups for washers & dryers. Plenty of parking (includine 1 assigned spot per apartment). Some garages available. Complex is far enough back from the main road that noise isn´t much of an issue.

Pets accepted! I would recommend that you check out all available units, as there are likely to be substantial differences in the carpeting, squeakiness of the floors, etc. due to the age of the complex.

DON'T EXPECT TO GET ANY OF YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK! Management didn't care that items broke from normal wear and tear -- if you're living there when it happens, you get to pay for it. Don't accept an apartment that looks like it could use some repainting, as YOU'LL be the one to pay for that repainting when you move out!
