We have lived in our apartment here in Spyglass Hill for almost 2 1/2 years now, and I wanted to give my thoughts on living here. When we moved in, it was under different landlord, and has changed Managers around 3 times. Not a huge issue to me, as upgrades are constantly improving this place. We have a brand new pool! For the first six months that we lived here, there was a lot of work being done to the building (decks). They did not seal our deck correctly, and our window leaks, as well as for our upstairs neibors windows too. The apartments are very drafty, and in the winter we average around a $320 electric bill for a 2 bedroom. Aside from those issues, which are common to many apartments. They are owned by companies, and not by us. This has been a really nice place to live though, they neibors are very quiet and friendly. Everyone knows each other for the most part, it's very homely here, wonderful for children. The grounds are consistently cleaned, and I have not had any issues with the maintenance whatsoever. They have shown up same day, and have done their best to fix the issues at hand. Unfortuneatly, the we need a 3 bedroom, and cannot afford the one's here at Spyglass Hill, otherwise we would be proud to stay. Another important note, is the neiborhood around us. There are 2 parks within walking distance, a nature area that is beautiful, and Haggens is a close 15 minute walk away. The downstairs apartments have a sunken living room that will capture the imagination as well! The manager now, is also very strict about Dog mess around here as well, and is not affraid to fine anyone not cleaning up after their pet. So if you move in, please be courtious to your neibors by doing your part to clean up after your pets. The parking isn't great, but I've seen much worse. If you are looking for a place to call home, that you won't be pulling your hair out over noise, or uncleanliness, this is the place to live. Mike is a very nice Manager, and we will miss living here dearly.
