Originally, when checking out the place, my girlfriend and i were both impressed. The walkway to the main office was nicely presented with a waterfall and flowers all around. The staff was very freindly and the apartment they showed us was very nice (vaulted ceilings and all). Another few ups of the place were they have free movie rentals in the lobby for checkout, a decent work-out facility with treadmills and weights, and they do have washer/dryer in unit, which was convenient.

Beyond the above mentioned, here's what a dealt with:
Once we signed the lease, we saw the actual unit we were assigned. The wood on our outside balcony was extremely worn and there were paint spots everywhere. The carpets on the inside were old and stained and there were little divots througout on the walls. We made note of everything, but took no pictures.
Needless to say, they took advantage of our age and naivity. Hours upon hours were spent on getting the place (back in shape) which in the condition we received it in should have taken no time. Still, I spent time on everything from scrubbing the oven to wiping down the windowsills. It was honestly in better shape than we received it. They took my entire deposit and tried charging more. After bugging enough people they "graciously" waived my extra charges, taking the full original deposit.

Why are you anonymous, you have all of these negative things to say, but you won't identify yourself... wow, real credible, sounds like you just feel like venting and complaining.
