management two-faced

Manager is very nice before you sign the lease, then very disrespectful, rude and pompous ever after. Rentors are charged a different rate for same apartments. Rent takes a hike every time they can nail you. When I moved out, the management kept my entire $650 deposit over fictious fees. They finally said the entire cost was for "painting the living room". Don't expect to get your deposit back! Trash is a nightmare--one central location, which is a locked compactor, and people forget their keys and just dump their garbage outside of it. Once I saw it piled in a heap over 10 feet tall. It crawls with racoons at night. Stray cats at times a problem. Management will help trap them, but refuses to take kittens to no-kill shelters. Neighbors are rude to each other, few people talk to each other or greet each other. Lots of punk kids with loud cars waving gang-banging hand signals. They love to drive around with their music thumping. Not exactly a safe place. Workout room has a very old multi-use weight lifting machine (the crappy kind). Stationary bike and stair-stepper breaks down on occassion. Noise on Murray is horrible. Impossible to take a left turn out of complex during rush hours. Police and fire departments frequently in complex. Methamphetamine cooking labs discovered two seperate times in property adjacent to Stone Creek on the other side of Murray, it was all over the news. Now with all of that said, there are a few positives. Grounds are nice and pool has a fun waterfall. Also, there are BBQ grills adjacent to the pool area, so you can have friends over for a BBQ and swim, which you can't find at many other apartment complexes. Safe playground place for kiddies to play. Pool is usually locked and not many people off the street usually come in, also better than most apartments. Only a walk away from the convenience store if you need anything quickly. Unfortunately the negatives still greatly outweight the positives, so I would not recommend it to anyone.
