Gone downhill fast.

I first experienced The Lakes in 1994 when I was traveling to Oregon on business. I was a fan ever since until recently.
The current management is friendly and professional but they don't seem to really care about safety or maintenance of the grounds.
LOTS of lights are out along the paths. Lots of lights are out in the carports. Grounds and stairways have become dark and dangerous. There is exposed wiring on some of the landscape lights too.
Trash is not picked up from the dumpsters in a timely manner anymore so the dumpsters overflow. You end up having to just throw your trash bags on the pavement inside the dumpster's enclosure. They built a trash compactor on-site but put it near the parking and mailboxes for some of the apartments so the residents must deal with a constant stink from that.
The pool is very nice but the mens' locker room has become an absolute pit. Lots of mildew and rust. Only one of the two shower stalls works. Doors are missing on the toilet stalls.
Management clearly doesn't care about the place anymore and, to add insult to injury, they raise our rent every time our lease comes due for renewal.
