I like my apartment and my rent actually isn't bad. But the management and maintenance are absolutely horrible. They all seem like nice people at first but they will eventually find a way to make your renting experience awful. One day a pipe broke somewhere in my building and flooded my entire bathroom. It was a Sunday and I guess the management crew had decided to take the day off cause they weren't there at all. I called the "emergency" maintenance number and no one answered. I left several messages letting them know that water was gushing into my bathroom, closet, and bedroom. I called about 10 more times over the next hour and finally, about an hour after I had discovered the leak, someone randomly shows up at my door without even calling first. They got the water cleaned up but it had already destroyed almost everything in my bathroom. I asked for $100 for the cost of the damages and they absolutely refused! The manager, David, basically told me I should have had renter's insurance and that an hour was a reasonable amount of time for maintenance to respond within, and that he wouldn't pay me the $100 because that would be admitting that they were in the wrong. He totally disrespected me and there's no way I will renew my lease with these horrible people.
