Getting better here - they are cleaning it up

We've lived here for almost two years, and are glad that San Remo seems to have new management and is cleaning things up. We had a horrible neighbor who played super loud music until 4 a.m. on weekdays, and when we called security on him, he completely vandalised our car. The staff at San Remo was nice in dealing with the issue, and the guy finally got evicted due to his own stupidity, or else we would have had to move. Now, we have quiet and polite neighbors, and although the police are here lots due to fights and other problems, it happens in every apartment complex. The police are always patrolling and talk to us sometimes, and are very nice. I'm glad they're here keeping us safe.
The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained, and there is a lot of ethnic diversity here which is really great and rare in many parts of Portland. We have had no problems since our old neighbor was evicted (although we still see his car parked around sometimes), and decided to renew our lease.
Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city and live in a beautiful, diverse property where animals are allowed!
