I've lived here for one yr. My rent just went up over 33%, and for what'
Here's my review based on apartmentratings.com system:
1. PARKING: I pay for a covered/carport space ($20/space). A garage costs a lot more! Open/FREE spaces are very rare. The complex just started towing vehicles in May; prior to that, cars were routinely parked in the fire zones and my PAID FOR carport space. Calls to the mgmt office went without any change, except a sticker being put on "offending" vehicles; they were never towed. Another resident finally called the Fire Marshall, and cars started being towed from the fire lanes. However, I routinely find vehicles parked in my PAID FOR carport space; when I call the mgmt, they promise to have the vehicle towed, but it never happens.
2. NOISE LEVEL: You hear almost everything, especially kids. Ceiling/floor noise is especially bad.
3. GROUNDS: They make a GREAT effort to ensure the entrance to the property looks great; everything else can go to heck! I've seen them mow mud! The groundskeeping staff don't have a clue! I've watched them take out a beautiful flowering plant for no apparent reason; yet I have to "do the limbo" every time it rains in order to get under the rain-heavy boughs of trees overhanging the sidewalk to reach my front door! The sidewalks were covered over 3/4 by water most of the winter; it was almost like a sobriety test! I guess amenities should go in this category; the POOL is NEVER HEATED or cleaned, and the WHIRLPOOL often has FECES in it!
4. SAFETY: Most walkways are in the dark. Overhanging trees (see comment on GROUNDS) contribute to the darkness. In the "wet" months, most of the sidewalks are covered by water. My bedroom window is totally unprotected and unviewed, yet children (and anyone else') run past it daily. I would NEVER leave it open unattended, which means it gets really hot.
5. CONSTRUCTION: You hear every step your upstairs neighbor takes!
6. MAINTENANCE: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
7. OFFICE STAFF: Lying liars and the lies that they lie! You'll hear all manner of excuses for any complaint that you may bring. Staff has turned over twice to date.
8. OVERALL: You can do a LOT better, especially considering the new rent hike! Check out properties on Murray or Scholls Ferry, or use the internet.

You are obviously a bitter person. I live here and you are full of crap. One time recently someone crapped in the hot tub and they closed it down for a day! It was probably you!!! You would complain if they were towing cars, and you complain when they don't so figure out what makes you happy!!! No one can please everyone!!! Don't live on the bottom if you are "extra sensitive" and don't want to hear your neighbor! Go live in Murrayhill with all the yuppies and pay $100.00 more... Good Riddens...hahahaha
