I have lived in Waterhouse Place since October'06. It is the nicest apartment I have ever lived in. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to move to in the Portland area.
The complex is located near two Max stations, there is a bus stop right out front and is right near a Fred Meyer and many places to dine. Across the street is a large sports and fitness complex.
The apartments are not very expensive, considering all the amenities that are available to you. these include: free parking, a garbage disposal, a dishwasher, a fireplace, a back patio, a washer/dryer unit in your apartment, Fitness center, business center, Pool and hot tub, community grills near the pool area, nature trails and duck pond. You're also located very close to the Nike campus if you wanted to make use of their trails also.
The unit I live in is technically a one bedroom, but has a "den" making the apartment very spacious and convenient if you have overnight guests. The kicthen is very efficient and makes good use of a small space, a ton of cabinet space! Bathroom has a heat lamp and all countertops and cabinets are nice and not outdated. (all because the complex is relatively new). The management is very nice, the maintenance crew is very promt, professional and curtious, And the landscaping is immaculate and very well taken care of.
The only complaints do not change my overall great opinion of the place.
my only complaints are, There is not enough closet space (but ample cabinet space), the car ports are very hard to get in and out of because of tight spaces, it's hard to find a parking space if you come home after 8pm (but you are always able to park near the office or in visitor lots), the windows in the living room do not open but management allows you to install a screen door if you so choose, the management can be too nice at times if you have a "problem neighbor" they only leave notices on the door of the neighbor that is causing problems. Most people that live here seem to be very quiet and to themselves, but in any apartment there is a chance of someone unpleasant moving in next door.
overall...I like it here a lot. originally I had planned to move at the end of my lease so that I could be in Portland but after living here for this period of time I think I've changed my mind. I have so many great things that I may lose if I move.
It is a great place to live

You obviously haven't lived there through a summer yet. You will not be able to find any parking after 8 or before midnight. Also, the community grills were great...when they were brand new. Now the starters are broken off & the grills are covered in old burnt on food that no one bothered to clean. Dog poop everywhere there is grass. There are some good points, but not like you listed.
