can't wait to get out

the location is great here and we have quiet neighbors but you don't get what you expect. when we moved in we were told it would be like the model but was the polar opposite. after we signed for our second lease, a month later we got new management and they raised our rent, we had no options as far as moving and now this place is not worth what we pay (we went from 907.00-1005.00). we've been told that ours is one of the last that hasn't been updated but the prices will go outrageously up when they do. our carpet is falling apart because whoever put it in did a poor job and our appliances are way outdated. management is polite but not friendly. strictly business to them. maintenance is really good but they just kinda come and go as they please. we setup a date for maintenance to come and they stopped by and we didn't hear anything and then i found out the maintenace man was gone for a few days and i expected a call but then wokeup to someone downstairs a few days later and was never notified about that. i need notification to make sure my husband is home. it was a good thing he was because we would have made a stink if not. i work nights so parking is ok for me but if you try to park any time between 5pm and 6am the next morning, your screwed. the plumbing is atrocious! i feel sorry for whoever has the water heater in their room because if anyone takes a shower, runs the dishwasher, or uses the toilet, you will not be able to sleep. i can't use a hair dryer in any room without turning off the power somewhere in the apartment. never heard of any break-in's and i feel safe. kids are constantly running around which is fine but they kindof hide behind corners and you have to drive really slow to make sure your car doesn't get hit by a basketball/football, or you actually hitting them. overall this place isn't worth what they charge and i can't wait to move.

I have been here a long time and neither myself or my neighbors have had an issue with rent being raised like that unless there is some abuse of the property.

Sounds like what I found - power goes out if you try to vacuum - if you can find a plug in that is turned on!

Funny, how people who want to live in a nice community want to pay trailer park prices. The trailer park is over in S.E. portland not in the Waterhouse neighborhood. You get what you pay for. Go buy a house and see how your husband will get anything fixed there. You're lucky to have maintenance at all. This is a huge complex and there are hundreds or whining residents like yourself that want everything done when they want it without any understanding of what the job entails. I have never had any problems here and I love it. Maintenance is friendly and great. The head maintenance guy is really wonderful and has repaired everything I have requested and quickly! I recommend live here!!

I visited the place and looks like a very nice place to live. Although pricing maybe a little higher. I'm surprise to hear about the parking issues in the evening.
