when i applied for the 4 bedroom here at this place they told me that my credit doesn't matter as long as i don't have any evictions. they also told me since i have section 8 my rent is guaranteed but that wasn't the case im a black women with children and feel that i was decieved even though my credit isn't that great i NEVER been evicted from anywhere and i thought that i would have been able to rent there but they said it was due to my credit and criminal backgrond my criminal background was 15yrs ago

Is sounds as though this has nothing to do with being black so why mention it? This complex may be guilty of misleading you in order to gain another renter, but that is all. I don't know what being black has to do with anything here but you should have mentioned that you were blind. Only a blind person cannot see that your previous actions and decisions are what got you where you are today.
