THIN walls make it difficult if you do not fall asleep in under 5 minutes. I know loud people can live anywhere, and this place is no exception. Constantly noisy late at night for a good while. Finally, enough complaints may have fixed that, as eviction has been threatened to certain parties. Aside from the noise, the place is dark and not so well planned. The washer and dryer are hidden behind folding doors in the dining room. Why the dining room' Not so appealing. If you are young and enjoy convienient nightlife, forget about it. 20-30 minute drive for much of that. Why would I live here'
The one great feature of this apartment community is the Archstone relocation guarantee. This is how I ended up here. I was living in Southern California, and moved to Portland for work. Archstone allows you to transfer your lease to any other Archstone for free. The process was quite easy. The difficult part is moving 1100 miles away to an apartment, sight unseen.
I have to say that the management at this time has been great in helping with the noise and other more minor problems.
Certainly, not my first pick if I had the chance to see where I was moving to, but it has served its purpose, to keep me from being rained on.
