Squire's Court is the most mis-managed complex I have ever seen! Maintenance requests go unresolved for weeks (or in one case, NEVER). The ladies in the office frequently leave early, arrive late, or both.

If you are considering moving in - check out the paint job - our apartment and 2 of our neighbors had painted over cobwebs in the corners near the ceilings. They didn't bother to clean, just painted right over everything.

You have one assigned parking spot. Some of the areas have a lot of visitor parking for a second vehicle but other areas do not. Also, if you park on the street, there was at least one break in every two weeks.

Lighting in the parking areas is inadequate. Lots of dark areas, and some of the walk ways are hard to navigate if your night vision is not good. Check it out at night before you sign.

If they know you have a pet, they will have a 3rd party inspector come in to do the inspection when you move out. It does NOT say it in your lease agreement, but they will charge you $45 for this.

Be aware that every time your lease renews, it'll increase your rent at least $40. We renewed our lease 3 times and it jumped every time.

When we moved out, we gave a 30-day notice and requested to be present for the inspection. They did not schedule the 3rd-party inspector, so it could not be inspected until a later date. They knew we were moving out of state and would be unable return. They then sent us a letter saying the carpet had urine on it and had to be replaced. According to the inspection diagram, our cat somehow managed to pee under my armoire that sits on the floor. There was NO WAY for the cat to pee in that corner. The armoire was there before the cat came into the apartment and the cat was removed before we started moving out and the armoire was never moved from that corner. We replied with this information and also reminded them that the carpet was not new when we moved in - we had to wait 2 days to move in because the carpets had to be steamed cleaned. They did not respond, just sent it to a debt collector.

The inspection diagram also said there was water damage from a leaky water heater. I had 2 cardboard boxes in the closet next to the heater where this water damage supposedly was. Neither box has any kind of water damage on them, and these are my Christmas decorations, so they were in the closet all the time. If there had been a leak these boxes would have disintegrated.

They did the same thing to us. If you have a pet they will nail you on carpet charges. They said that we owed 1900.00 for carpet they said they had to replace. We refused to pay, I took pictures and had them sign a statement that we left the place okay. They sent it to collections and it is posted on our credit report. I will be disputing this soon. Stay away from Squires Court.
