Break-ins, Poor Management, Rowdy Neighbors

I lived at Sunnyside Village for three years. The first year and a half was great. The management took exceptionally good care of the tenants and the buildings. Then management changed, and things went totally to crap. Degenerates began moving in, young party people who trashed the place and the reputation took over the complex, and suddenly the police were there every night. Every peoeron I knew there had a car break-in, and EVERY person was overcharged with cleaning fees when they moved out. When all the rapes were going on, the complex, who advertised that they had a 24-hour security company on call, never responded to security concerns, and no one ever saw security. As I still know a handful of people living there, they tell me that not only has management taken away the free cable, but is now raining the rent (hmmmm, I thought that's why they took away the cable, to keep rents from raining), and now they are going to charge tenants for water and garbage...unheard of expenses in an aoartment. The pool is never clean, they lock the doors to the clubhouse after 4pm, so if you're at the pool and need to go to the bathroom you need to go all the way home. Not that you'd want to be at the pool...that's where some knifing went on one night. Not to mention the paper-thin walls...if your kids are too young to learn about the birds and bees, you might want to put some earplugs in their ears at night. It used to be a great place to live, but it has gone far, far downhill, and unless the management changes, I highly reccommend you stay away from Sunnyside Village!
