Briar Ridge was nicest apts in Corvallis

I lived at Briar Ridge for a year during grad school. I did not have ANY of the problems I saw another article mention. The place was so well constructed that I NEVER heard the neighbors. Yeah, so they were over 60 and pretty quiet, but I never even heard them fall in the shower! The place was spotless. The managers live onsite and are very ----, which can be annoying, but it is sure to keep things clean, potentially rude neighbors under control and everything orderly. The layout of the apartments is nice, the bathroom and appliances were clean and new. There is laundry IN THE APARTMENT--woo hoo. Ralph, the manager maintenance guy, was always around to fix a problem immediately. I also lived for a year in Spring Creek Apartments in S. of town. That was good too (not as well constructed, but VERY nice management people), but Briar Ridge is the nicest. Also, Briar Ridge is in a nice part of town. Good places to go for walks, across the street from a grocery store and other little shops. If you don?t like this place, I wonder if you?re unpleasable. . .

Oh, the owner of the complex has an office onsite and is frequently there. He designed the buildings himself and takes pride in keeping them well maintained and looking good.

I had to break my lease about 2 months early. There is usually something like a $600 lease break fee. But Marie, the office manager, was super nice in helping to find someone to take over the apartment right away and I was not charged extra.

If you can afford this place, I would make it first choice. If not, try spring creek or creekside. Now I own my own house in portland. Sometimes, I wish I was back in the apartment without a lawn to mow and a stupid roof to replace. . .
