Grand Oaks Apartments
< Prev Review | >
When my friend and I were looking for a lower-cost but better looking apartment, we found it. Unfortunately, it was not just low cost. Upon moving in new our 'newly renovated' apartment we discovered many building code violations and had to call maintenance multiple (I mean 5-10 times per issue) to get anything fixed.
day I came home to a BAT on my floor. Not sure how the thing died but ooooh if it were still alive, yikes even worse!! The people who bought the place did what was necessary to make it presentable. From the shower door and closet door continuing to fall off to our basement puddle and our water heater that nearly cost Grand Oaks the entire building had we not stepped in and pushed the issue of getting a new water heater, there were SO MANY things wrong with our apartment.
I could go on and on about how poorly set up the place is. I guess I should have noticed that no other apartments in the area make you pay the full year lease if you want to move out early. Other places have you pay an extra month's rent and call it good. "Grand" Oaks (AKA Smokey Oaks-- fire anyone') is just a piece.
If you're lucky enough to find a descent apartment in there, good for you, but please make sure you know your emergency exits. You know. Just in case of fire or the building falling down on you or something. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
