We lived there about 9 months. We are very clean people. When we moved out we scrubbed and cleaned everything. Did 2 walk throughs, one with a maintenance man the other with the assistant manager- they found no problems. Now we get a bill in the mail for $300 for "smoke damage" on top of our initial $400 deposit. Ridiculous!! Don't move there!
They will nickel and dime you the whole time! It already is one of the most expensive apartments to rent then they clean you out when you move. NO NO NO

You are fighting the charges, right? If there were issues, they should have come up during the walk-through. Don't let them win--I battled with them for almost a year and finally came to an agreement. If you have pictures, give them copies, but honestly I think proof of the walk-throughs (such as a signed walk-through slip) should be adequate for small claims court. http://www.thelpa.com/lpa/landlord-tenant-law/oregon-landlo

Yes, we are fighting this! Wow, a whole year. What a waste of everyone's time, it is so frustrating that we have to deal with people like that.
