We reside at Applewood Apartments and we love this place, especially for the money! Sure there is no pool, and the gym is a little small, but the apartment itself is HUGE! So huge that we were able to fit our California king size bed, a chest of drawers as well as a matching dresser in our master bedroom...and we STILL have plenty of room to walk arond!! Oh, and there's a large, private bathroom right off of the master suite! Who else offers this in this price range, if at all'

I mean come on, if you look at the newer places with the pools and the 24 hour gyms, and all the "bells and whistles" included, sure they're nice. But when you look at the actual apartment space it is rather pathetic! Chopped up, small, not planned well. You feel like you're in an apartment at most places. Not to mention that other places would barely fit a queen size bedroom set in their master bedrooms, let alone a king size!!

Let's talk about kitchen space, shall we' Applewood Apartments kitchens are FULL SIZE, yes, you read that right, FULL SIZE!! Which means there is a fridge, double stainless steel sink, dishwasher, garbage disposal, very nice oven range and more than plenty of storage cabinets...oh and did I mention OAK storage cabinets' The kitchen is so large that there are TWO entry ways into it! Yes, TWO! Then dining room has enough space for a large formal dining table, if you so desire!

Let is move into the living room...another SPACIOUS area. We have a couch, love seat AND an overstuffed chair and ottoman in ours. Also included are two end tables and a large coffeee table..and guess what' We have PLENTY of room to walk around and live more than comfortably in these beautiful, well planned floor plans!

And the management is friendly, trutworthy, and do their best to take care of the residents here. So go ahead folks, look around..you'll always see the value here at Applewood!

Laughing outloud!!! I love how it has to be an anonomyous review that says there great!!! Nice try again management your the ony ones who would write a good review. This place was an absolute money pit that takes all your money and the manger is a total ----- and the managing company will act like all is ok. If you plan on being there as your elderly I dont mean to disrespect you but your family will get a bill from them of all the charges you leave behind!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS BEWARE DONT MOVE HERE!!!!

We lived at Applewood for a little over three years... up until about 9 months ago. We miss it. We had to move for my husbands job. I have been sad ever since. Whether management/owners wrote the above review or not... I do have to agree that for the money the size of the apartments really is outstanding. We couldn't believe it when we found it. We had been looking at houses that were smaller than those apartment, and which cost more money. We also had a Cal. King bed in the master suite with plenty of room to use the little window area (if you live there or go check the places out you'll see what I mean...) for a home office. The second bedroom though - junior suite or whatever you call it :) - is really small, though. We barely fit bunkbeds and a desk in that room. The closets are also very tiny. There's an outside storage fortunately, otherwise you really have to be clever about storing things away. The hall bathroom is also really tiny and always creeped me out somehow. I never used that bathtub, something about it was just yuk. The master bathroom though is large and the shower was really nice. Anyway - every place - even homes - have their pros and cons. We loved living at Applewood Apartments except for during the Summer's when it got really hot!! (no air conditioning, and no pool to go cool off in...) We loved Don the maintenance guy, he was awesome, and Shanna the office manager was always really wonderful. Everybody there seemed to work really hard to get everything done. It's VERY affordable - we saved so much money by living there! :) Also - you cannot beat the location - especially if you have kids. You are right on the bike trail, walking distance to Market of Choice (I miss that place) and also a short walk or a short bike ride to probably the best elem. school in Eugene - Gilham Elem. We were on the lower floor so we did have some problems with upstairs neighbors being too loud and flicking cigarettes onto our back patio... but other than that and the Summer heat - it was a good rental experience. If we ever move back to Eugene, who knows - maybe we'll rent there again if they have space for us. (And next time we'll do a top floor apartment.) :)
