The manager is not a nice lady at all. She has been more than rude to my husband and me on most contacts we've had with her. I've also seen her be very short with other tenants in the building. The office looks tacky and she has more personal pictures up than necessary! Don is great though. The walls here are more than paper thin. You can hear your neighbors snoring, peeing, and coughing. As soon as our lease is up we're planning to move.

I'm a resident here... we lived here for three years, then moved away for one year, and then a few months ago moved back. All these moves have been for my husbands job. We think the new manager is great. She works really hard and has really added a few nice touches to the office - such as hot drinks in the office throughout the winter. Yum! :) My kids, husband, and I are really happy here and plan to stay until we find a home we'd like to buy. The schools nearby are great little schools, and we are able to walk to just about anything we'd need. (But we're lazy so we drive most of the time. :) ) Yes - it's an apartment and you can hear your neighbors... but it's also very reasonable rent for this area, and the floor plans are a really good size for two-bedroom apartments. We really like the large open kitchens. Most places charge monthly pet rents and monthly covered parking fee's - this place doesn't (just a one-time deposit when you first move in) and we really appreciate this. My only concern while living here has always been the mud and standing water and stuff along the back area. It attracts mosquito's and also makes it hard for Don to mow... it's just muddy and gross back there most of the time. We don't even really use our back area because of it. Aside from that, Applewood is a very decent place to call home. I can't speak for the above poster, but for all my other neighbors I've met within the past 4 and a half years they have all been really wonderful. Maybe this poster was just having a bad day or something?
